Cable Question...

Hello,

I'm awaiting my new Audiophile 2496 and I had a couple questions about cables - wondering if I should break the bank on high quality ones. Any brand names I should look into?
As well, I'll be running into the soundcard from a Behringer mixer. Right now I run out of the tape-out RCA's and into the 1/8" on my crappy Audigy but I've read about using the 1/4" outs on the mixer (I'm assuming the main outs?) Is there any difference in sound quality? I've had a really hard time with unwanted noise (which tends to build up after a few tracks) and I'm not sure if it's the cables themselves (I also run from the 1/8" on my Mac into the 1/8" on my PC - using my Mac as a "sound module" with all of my virtual instruments) or the outputs I'm using.
Anyway, any advice on the best possible set-up and/or if I'm doing anything wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Aaron

IMO no cables are not worth breaking the bank on until you have a mixer significantly better than behringher... like allen&heath level.

the noise is primarially the audigy...after that it would probably be the mixer. you will notice a huge difference without the audigy...
