Can someone recommend a good software EQ, VST please, that works on cubase and is downloadable off the web. The one's i use now are just Q on cubase and its really not doin what i want. I want something with the Q type interface but has more points, infinite would be nice, coz before i can cut adn boost what i want im out of points. Just EQ's that you guys use that you think work well.

Thanx

I use Q. I used to use heaps of them, but now I only cut frequencies with Q before compression and boost after. 2 Q's does it for me.

there was a parisEQ that I heard good things about a few years ago. I've not used it, but it's worth a look.

Also check out Nyquist EQ. Its a very simple interface, no knobs or sliders. But you can achieve a very narrow Q which can be very helpful sometimes. I think that it has 5 separate bands.

Crux my good man, here is a list from KVR.

There are about 103 to be exact. YOu should find something suitable there. The descriptions are all pretty accurate.

Thanx for the suggestion guys, but after reading some of the replys im startin to think maybe its not the EQ's fault... i guess i need to brush up on my EQing! Thus my next question... When i use effects in my insert panel of cubase the order effects their sound, like it would in chain? I never knew that. And if i use one Q to cut something, and then i use another EQ to boost in the same freq or near, will that just cancel eachother out, or will the second one just boost from the cut?
i gotta read more articles!

Indeed if you simply cut with one and the boost again with another and it is in the same approxamite area you will kind of defeat the original cut and or the boost. I try to rarely boost much at all. If I do it is in a very narrow Q so I can pinpoint a specific area.
