Just about anything you can imagine. He has been getting into some of the classicaly influanced type hard rock, which kind of took me by suprise. But the electronic stuff is still what he wants to work on. We put Project 5 V2 on his box and he is working slowly at it. I need to get him a better moniter set up though as he is kind of stuck with headphones for the moment. But he can come in here when I'm not busy so that is a plus.

He wants me to order him your Desi Beat Factory CD, which I will be doing next week. He got into some realy interesting latin percusion and beats a couple months ago, and I'm all for him getting into some differant sounds. I gave him some of my sample stuff and he was picking out some rather odd combinations of percusion and sounds, but they worked well together, so I'll let him go with whatever he see's fit.

But otherwise, he is still listening to everything he can get his hands on.

He aksed if you had any CD's out with those type tracks like Oye Hoye, so I told him I would check. Otherwise, I'll just let him buy the mp3 downloads.

Noize: Nice...how old is Tuna anyway? Seems like he's probably my age...in the 20's...Thats good he isnt influenced by MTV - than again, since when did they were a real music TV...lately that is.

Ah cool! TDBF 3 has all ethnic samples - he'll like those cos Tool uses them in their songs, Missy Elliot etc...will suit a whole range of musical styles. Tell ya what, I'll burn you a CD full of songs from my collection that i think you'll like (assortment of musical genres like OYE HOYE) that you probably cant get your hands on and send them with TDBF 3 - I'll have the shipping guys flag your name so whenever you do get around to ordering TDBF 3 they'll just insert my burnt CD full of songs I'll make right now actually after this post :)

He actually just turned 16 in January. Both he and my youngest Ray, who is 13 are like that. They have listened to every type of music, and still do. I think it was really influanced from all the differant musicians they have gotten to meet over the years. From just about every genre you can imagine. I guess I can take some credit for it as well, since I get involved with almost every genre as well as listening to it all. I think it might also be that they like influancing their friends and being the ones to turn them onto new and differant music.

I'll order the TDBF 3 CD tonight, so you can let them know.

The boyz will absolutely dig that your doing that as well. I'll nudge Tuna with the Tool and Missy Elliot using those samples as well. He has been playing alot of Missy's stuff lately.

Paul - It feels weird calling you noize, Im gonna say Paul now haha...Thanks for the support, got your order! I sent the CD full of mp3's :) *evil grin*

Yeah have Tuna look up Tool's song "stinkfist" which was one of the best Tool songs out and that was very heavy on tabla...even the drummer did the drumming pattern on 7 beat tabla rhythm. Also tool's off shoot band "a perfect circle"...Also Chris Cornell's only hit song (forgot the name) but that is on 6 beat tabla rhythm amazed they did that...

If you need a list of more songs that utilized tabla samples, I'll keep htem coming!

Say whats up to Tuna for me...is he on myspace?

Thanx, be lookin for it.

I have most of that stuff. Now that you mention it, that'll turn him onto listening more for that in music he might not have thought to hear it in.

I'll tell him ya for ya.

And ya he is on myspace. I'll send you the link tommorrow. but be warned, that kid sends at least a half dozen freakin bullitens a day. I've been beatin on him to cut the crap out and he has mellowed out for the last couple of days.
