Hello all,

I've just read an article that says that a de-esser is an important bit of kit. It says that using one well can enable you to bring out the vox in the mix without it sounding harsh.

With this in mind can anybody recommend one to me please? Hardware or software, whatever you think is better.

Obviously a free software one would be good. I don't think I like the onein Audition.

cheers

F

It compresses a certain band of frequencies (1-8 kHz?) where the main chunk of sibiliance lies
