Where would be the best place to acquire this piece and how much does it usually run?

That is a list of dealers, although I believe there are many more now.
pjk found a good deal there. I know the Evil Empire GC sells them as well. So you might stop into the Roseville store and see if they can beat that price.
Jason, that is one of the ESI interfaces I use as well. I own 2 of there interfaces and have had no problems at all.

Apr 20, 2006 06:29 pm Hey guys, I see this allows for 8 inputs at once....does this interface (esi 1010) Have any preamps built in? Or would I need a mixer or 8 channel preamp for it?

I use a yamaha mg16/4 for preamps, to feed the thing.

Apr 21, 2006 10:48 am agh, i wish i could. we're trying to finish the control room, so we can move stuff in there and set it up properly. I've only been putzing around with it so far.
I do have it hooked up in the basement, in another room, but i haven't put it through any paces yet. I'm making cables now, in between working on the control room, and my sisters website, and outdoor yard projects, etc, etc, etc.
Soo much to doo . . . sooo much to doooo . . .
