I can't find any decent tones for my POD and I haven't been very successful in creating some of my own. I'm looking for some metal/rock tones that I could use for recording direct I'm working on some new demos and I'm too picky about tone for my own good. I need something that has alot of gain to it but can still voice the notes out clearly because alot of my tones have been sounding muddy and hard to make the seperate notes out

Apr 13, 2006 07:59 pm I'm sure some people can manage to get a decent rock/metal sound from the PODxt but I sure cant. BUT I purchase a Digitech GNX3 and that sucker is awsome! It has a great crystal clear and powerful distortion preset right out of the box which I have never come close to with the PODxt or micing my half stack.
