So a friend of mine does sound at one of the local amateur theatres, and they are doing spring cleaning. Knowing that I've got a small studio set up he called and was like "Hey I've got a few mics I'm getting rid of if you want em. If not I'm just going to get rid of em, they're decent but nothing great" so I of course said yeah. Freee stuff is great. Was expecting like a couple sm57s or something. Well in the past 2 weeks he's given me a pair of AKG C1000s (which I adore on acustic guitar and as overheads) and a Shure SM94, which I just got today and haven't tried out yet. So yeah, I just wanted to tell everyone about my new toys lol.

Apr 10, 2006 02:44 pm Free,the unbeatable price.A music shop put some unloaded speaker cabs outside just to clear out.I took one away for them and put in an 18" which I got for free.Great drum monitor.Free drinks taste better too.
