can you use 16gauge speaker wires as just normal 1/4 to 1/4 connections? liek instument cables? will it hurt anything?

Apr 06, 2006 10:51 pm I would not recomend it at all. The noise will be to much, and it is not the correct impedance for instrument cable. Shielding is the key to a good instrument cable.
Apr 07, 2006 12:57 am I played a gig with a speaker cable as a guitar cable and a guitar cable as a speaker cable. Blew the speaker and had a mad hum throughout my riffs.
