Hello all,
Another new one....
This will be the last for a while (i think) as my recorder has just thrown its toys out of the pram and needs repairing...
It's called 'Tracks' (for now) and it's here.

Mar 14, 2006 02:03 pm Very mellow, nice... backup vox a little pitchy in places, main vox could be louder. I like the style and really enjoy the relaxing mood of this track. I like the lead singer's voice, has nice tone, suits the track very well.

Mar 14, 2006 10:41 pm Mac, I'll be given it a listen tommorrow.
Mar 15, 2006 07:12 am Well, with a foot of snow on the ground it was kinda nice to listen to a song that makes me feel like laying in the grass in my front yard, staring at the sky drinkin a cold beer...
The vocals were kinda drown out in spots, but it is a decent, mellow, moody tune...

Mar 15, 2006 07:19 pm Nice kinda smooth jazz feel to it. I'm with dB on the layin in the grass with a cold beer feeling with this one.
I will agree as well on the vocals fading abit behind things a bit here and there. As well, that harmony ooooo thing you might want to work that out a little as it does miss a little once in awhile. You might want to try getting one good take of it and just copy it where you need it the rest of the tune. I know it is hard to do those high notes and stay on pitch all the time.
Otherwise, liked the tune very much.

Mar 16, 2006 05:08 am Thanks for the comments,
I've tidied this up a bit now. Have taken the dual voices out in the chorus as i thought it sounded too busy/messy. Brought the two guitars more forward.
Tried to bring the vocals up and lost some delay/reverb.
Some of the vocals still get lost at times but thats prob more to do with me subconsciously disguising rubbish lyrics ;)
Let me know if it sounds any better to ya.
All the best, Mac

Mar 16, 2006 09:15 pm OOOOOOoooooo, the guitars sound great now. Real up front and crisp without being distracting at all. Still very smooth indeed. I kinda liked the delay thing in the vocals really. But this is very smooth now, and those bright guitars are killer.
Very nicely done mac, very nicely done.

Mar 17, 2006 01:43 pm Cheers for the feedback noize.
I'm pretty happy with this for the most part, especially the acoustic guitars. Its taken me over a year to get them sounding ok. Amazes me how some guys stick an SM57 in front and away they go....

Mar 17, 2006 11:18 pm Some rooms just give the ability to get a good sound with the bare minimum, and 57 isnt all that bad in the right room really. But I know what you mean about taking a long time to get something your happy with. I am my own owrst critic when it comes to that.
