Mar 14, 2006 02:15 pm Enjoyed listening to this a number of times today. Very good live recording too... Still reminds me of Phish! I think you said you play bass on these tunes?

Mar 14, 2006 09:08 pm Yep, still got that same sound and feel to it. This one is a bit more rockin, but still very jammin feel to it. I like the crowd noise in there as well, it adds to the party feel of the track.
Having seen Phish many times I still do agree that it has that feel to it. Just out and out jamming. Very fast paced tune this time around. Even though the fidelity isnt like it would be in the studio or direct micced, all the instruments are there and full for the way it was recorded.
I just love that open sound you got recording this stuff.
Again, cant wait to hear more of it.

Mar 15, 2006 11:00 am Thanks guys, you keep me inspired to process them.
Yeah, I played bass on them, though I don't know if I'd readily admit it =). I end up playing bass once a year, at fieldstock.
Just a side note, if you listen to the drums, you can hear at times, that there's two drummers and two kits. It didn't transfer very well to tape, but it was a gas playing live to. Really kept the beat down (except when one messed up).
I'll get the next one up in a few days (or so).

Mar 15, 2006 07:12 pm I wondered why the drums sounded a bit differant. I just attributed it to the open air recording. I will ahve to have a better listen now that you mention it.
