Mar 09, 2006 08:21 am You have to plug a 'footswitch' into the footswitch-in and click it . This will turn the effects off . A little light up by the fx number will go on... or off, I forget .

Mar 09, 2006 09:23 am God shout hue I forgot it had tha facility. On that note Is it a dedicated footswitch or can you use a generic one?

Mar 09, 2006 09:28 am Generic's fine .
Mar 09, 2006 09:33 am it should be noted that a foot switch is not necessary to turn effects off...if you don't wanna use them at all, just never turn them on.
That said, why that mixer? Anyone I know that has bought that one wound up regreting it and wishing they had bought www.homerecordingconnecti...t+Mixer+with+FX for only $50 more, for the extra output busses...and there is a version of that mixer that doesn't even have the effects at all, which is wise if you don't wanna use them anyway... www.homerecordingconnecti...+Eurodesk+Mixer

Mar 09, 2006 07:56 pm I will give my 2 cents on the MX 2442A. I owned one for a long time. Excellant desk for the price. That is also the desk that had a can of Coca Cola spilled into it with now ill effect on its electronics. It is now residing happily in another studio and still working without trouble. And I believe it is now about 9 or 10 years old.
