L1 maximizer question

I just went to guitar center and got 15 free days of every single waves plug in out. I'm concentrating on learning the L1 ultramaximizer at the moment but I cant seem to get it to work right. I downloaded and read the manuel but I thought you guys might be able to give me some tips or instruct me on how to get that nice louder, better sound that everyone talks about with the L1. Thanks alot.

Mar 07, 2006 09:39 pm As well, if you look in the presets. That is if the presets are included with the demo. You will find one called 16bit Final Master or something like that. Choose it and look at its settings. This will give you a good idea of the brickwall function of the L-1. It is a setting that will pretty much max the overall loudness to limit out at -3dB as dB staed above.
