New soundcard and mixer question?

Hi all, new to this board and am finding it very informative, thanks. I`ve recently purchased the Behringer 1204FX mixer and have an audiophile 2496 soundcard on the way. I`ll be recording acoustic guitar with vocals and harmonies for the moment. I notice the soundcard only has rca ins and outs. Do I need to get leads that are XLR to RCA to connect the mixer to the soundcard via the main outs at the rear of the mixer? My previous setup was direct into a soundblaster live soundcard.
I am fairly new to this so excuse my ignorance.
Thanks
Badger
I`m also going to be using the new sonar software

Multiple options for hook-up, dependant on how you want to monitor/record/playback. Check-out

and

as two examples of articles they've gathered here. Do a "Search the Forums" above and have a "field-day" of it reading...

The new XENYX Mic Preamp matches the sound quality, transparency, headroom and even the dynamic range of boutique-style, stand-alone mic preamps. Neo-classic “British EQ” brings back the warmth and musicality of those ‘60s and ‘70s mega-console desks that made music history.

Hmmm... sounds a bit Mackie-ish . I wonder how they sound . I also wonder how long 'til the lawyers start to circle .
