Spy Falcon...die,die,die!

Guys,

Spyfalcon attacked me whilst my defenses were down. There is a good site that tells you how to get rid of it but in order to do so I have to restart in safe mode. I'm running xp but when I reboot I get no start up options and hence no safe mode.

Can anybody help me out?
